Let it Rain

Let it Rain

Let the rain of the Spirit fall upon you and saturate you.

Hosea 10:12 — Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground: for [it is] time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

Deuteronomy 28:12 — The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.

Isaiah 55:10 — For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

Are You Confident?

  • November 28, 2009 10:42 am

Confidence

Faith is confidence in God.  When God speaks, faith comes alive.  Your expectation is evidence that you believe that God will move on your behalf.

Romans 10:17 — So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Hebrews 11:1 — Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:6 — But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

God loves you.  He wants to spend time with you.  He longs to have fellowship with you.  He wants to hear your heart and share your dreams.  God is always thinking of ways to bless you.  He wants to give you absolutely perfect gifts.

2 Corinthians 9:15 — Thanks be to God for His wonderful gifts.  For through Him all blessings flow indeed.

James 1:17 — Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Door to Your Heart

  • November 19, 2009 10:03 am

Door to the Heart

Everyday, God is at the door, knocking.  He is asking you to allow Him to enter the moment, the situation, the decision, the crisis… whatever the circumstance.  Today, if you hear his voice, don’t harden your heart.

Revelation 3:20 — Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Ezekiel 36:26 — A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Hebrews 3:15 — While it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.

Without Wavering

  • November 17, 2009 10:38 am

Without Wavering:  Whenever we justify sin, we waiver, falter and find ourself on shaky ground.  The only sure way to stand firm is to side with God and His plan for our life.

1 Kings 18:21 — Elijah said, “How long will you go limping with two different opinions? If the Lord is God, follow him; but if Baal, then follow him.”

Romans 12:2 — Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is the will of God – what is good and acceptable and perfect.

2 Corinthians 1:19 — The Son of God, Jesus Christ, was not “Yes and No;” but in him it is always “Yes.”

Take the High Road

  • November 16, 2009 10:07 am

When others have failed us, it hurts.  The only true way to gain mastery over the pain is to forgive and release our heartache into the hand of God.  I know we have all heard this and we understand this in our minds, but walking it out is another thing.  We must encourage each other to take the high road.
1 Thessalonians 5:15-18 — See that none of you repays another with evil for evil, but always aim to show kindness and seek to do good to one another and to everybody. Be happy [in your faith] and rejoice and be glad-hearted continually (always); Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly]; Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will.]

Romans 12:14 — Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

Luke 6:28 — Bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

Shifting & Shaking

  • November 13, 2009 11:38 am

Shifting & Shaking

Don’t let the shaking and shifting allow you to feel unstable.  Set your feet firmly on the foundation of God’s unfailing love and you will not fall.

Isaiah 54:10 NIV — Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.

Hebrews 12:26 – 27 — Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this [word], Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those [eternal] things which cannot be shaken may remain.

Hiding Place

  • November 12, 2009 8:10 pm

Hiding Place

When conflicts surround us and we feel overwhelmed, our human tendency is to look for the way of escape. In these moments, we must place our situation in the hand of God.  There we will find our deliverance.

Psalm 32:7 — You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance.

Psalm 138:7 — Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me.

Psalm 27:5 — For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

The Power of Two

  • November 10, 2009 2:58 pm

The Power of Two

While we cannot trust everyone with all the personal details and issues of our lives, we all need someone.  Why?  Because, the real power of faith and prayer is found in agreement.  One, alone cannot multiply.  It takes the power of two.

Deuteronomy 32:30 — How could one person chase a thousand of them, and two people put ten thousand to flight, unless their Rock had sold them, unless the LORD had given them up?

Matthew 18:19 — Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.

1 Peter 3:7 — Husbands, in the same way be considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.

Free Space

  • November 9, 2009 11:44 am

Do you feel the momentum? Can you sense the exhilaration in the spirit realm? You are entering a time of freedom.  A “space” that is void of those controlling influences. The devilish plan of restraint was designed to control you… slow you down…but the Spirit of the Lord is calling you to a new level of liberty.

Galatians 5:1 — Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

Romans 8:15 — For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

John 8:36 — Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
