Looking Ahead

Ask God to enlarge your vision in the New Year.  Allow the Spirit of the Lord to show you things to come and give you wisdom to prepare for them.

John 16:13  – Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Habakkuk 2:2– And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make [it] plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

Proverbs 4:7 — Wisdom [is] the principal thing; [therefore] get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.

Have a blessed & prosperous New Year!

Hungry?

Feeding His Flock

Hungry?  Does your spirit crave the food that only God can give?  Allow Jesus, the Good Shepherd, to feed your soul.

He will feed his flock like a shepherd; he will gather the lambs in his arms, and carry them in his bosom. — Isaiah 40:11

I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep. –John 10:11

And Jesus, when he came out, saw much people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things. — Mark 6:34

He saith to him again the second time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. –John 21:6

Thirsty?

Feeling parched?  Weary and fatigued?  No problem.  Just drink deeply from the well of God’s Word.

Jesus said, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.” – John 7:37,38 (NIV)

That He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word. – Ephesians 5:6

I stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. — Psalm 143:6

Great Joy!

  • December 24, 2009 9:56 am

Surrender to Great Joy

Release any feelings of stress or turmoil.  Surrender them to “great joy!”  Allow thankfulness to rise-up within you.  The Lord has given you His salvation, His healing, His deliverance and His unending love.  He comes to bring you good tidings of great joy.
Luke 2:10-12 — And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.  And this [shall be] a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

Are the Lights On?

  • December 21, 2009 1:09 pm

Christmas Lights

Have you turned your lights on this Christmas season?  Now think spiritually here for a moment… the “light” is the glory of our awesome God!   As His children, we should reflect His light!

Isaiah 60:1-2 — Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the LORD rises upon you and his glory appears over you.

Isaiah 2:5 — O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the LORD.

Matthew 5:14-16 — You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.  Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

Hand of God

The Hand of God

Do not continue to ponder things that you have no personal control over.  This can only cause frustration, disappointment and fault-finding. Determine to release these situations into the hand of God. Trust in Him. God’s grace is sufficient, even in the most difficult of situations.

2 Corinthians 12:9 — And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Numbers 11:23 – And the Lord said to Moses, “Is the Lord’s hand shortened? Now you shall see whether my word will come true for you or not.”

Unexpected…

Unexpected

Don’t be surprised when unexpected doors open.  God can move in unique ways to answer prayer.  Don’t be perplexed by an atypical answer.  Be open to a new or untraveled avenue.  Trust God to bring you through everything.

Revelation 3:8 — I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

Isaiah 55:9  — For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.

Proverbs 3:5 — Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

Open Heaven

Open Heaven

To those who love the Lord and are in covenant with Him, heaven is always open.  Today, remember that you can use your faith to reach into heaven’s storehouse of blessings.  God is waiting to bless you!

Deuteronomy 28:12 – The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.

Malachi 3:10 – Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

The Strength of Grace

  • December 9, 2009 10:13 am

The Strength of Grace

Even when we feel inadequate and ineffective, we can move in the strength and power of God’s grace.  The grace that we have in Jesus will operate perfectly, even when we are weak. Today, rest in the confidence that God’s grace is sufficient for whatever you face.

2 Timothy 2:1 – Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 12:9 – And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Acts 4:33 – And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.

Ephesians 3:7 — Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.
