Recognize That You are a Container Filled with Potential

The scientific definition of potential is “stored energy.” There is divine energy stored inside you. Genesis tells us that Adam was in-spired (“breathed into”) by God. God’s inspired life inside of you becomes a force – an anointing – waiting for release.

Psalm 139:14 — “I will praise thee; for I am fearfully [and] wonderfully made: marvellous [are] thy works; and [that] my soul knoweth right well.”

 

Colossians 1:27b – “… Christ in you, the hope of glory:”

 
2 Corinthians 6:16 — “And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in [them]; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”

Turn Around…

Turn Around

 

If you feel like you are wandering off in your own direction, turn around and follow the Good Shepherd.  Let Him direct your path to peace.
 
Hosea 3:5 — The Israelites shall return and seek the Lord their God; they shall come in awe to the Lord and to his goodness in the latter days.

Find Strength

 

Have you lost hope?  Then it is time to find strength.
 
1 Samuel 23:16 — Jonathan went to David and helped him find strength in God.

Fasting: Do You Have Parasites?

Do You Have Parasites?
 

The following is an excerpt from chapter 1 of my book, A Walk in the Wilderness:Wilderness 
  
Parasites:
During the first prolonged 21-day fast that I did, I kept a journal of parasites that were eliminated from my body.  I was surprised (shocked actually) to see what was living off of my body!  Statistically, 85% of North Americans unknowingly have at least one form of digestive parasite.
 
In America, the number one cause of persons being infected with Ecoli bacteria is from drinking tap water.  It is also probable that most forms of parasites enter our bodies through tap water.  Fasting is a method to rid the body of parasites.

Future Vision

A Vision of Your Future

 

Every time Abraham looked up at the stars, he had a picture of the many generations of offspring that God had promised him. Even when Joseph was in prision, he had a dream of others bowing down to his leadership and authority.  Pictures move us.  What is the vision God has given you for your future?  Let that image fuel your momentum forward. 
 
Proverbs 29:18 — Where [there is] no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy [is] he.
 
Habakkuk 2:2 — And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make [it] plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

 
John 16:13 – Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

Keep Moving

 

Deliberately release all things that slow your momentum — spirit, soul and body. Don’t give up.  Don’t revert back to where you were.  No matter what it looks like, breakthrough is just ahead. The devil will lie to you and tell you to quit, but keep moving. 
 
Isaiah 49:10 — They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: for he that hath mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall he guide them.
 
2 Corinthians 12:9 — My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Step Forward

Step Forward

 

 

God is moving you.  Not in a new direction… but in a direction that He had already ordained for you.  Now, it is time to move, to step forward, and begin to embrace the season ahead.  As you take on the responsibility He places before you, God will release a new level of authority to accomplish all that needs to be accomplished.   
 
Psalm 119:35 — Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight.
 
Philippians 2:13 — For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

Spiritual Intelligence

 

Be still.  Be sensitive to the moving of God’s Spirit.  Only by His Spirit will you know whether to intercede, to rebuke, to act or to decree a thing. In the spirit you will discern attacks against you. The Holy Spirit will give wisdom to know when and how to fight. It is only by the Spirit that you will know when to shout and when to be silent.  He has infinite wisdom and resources at His disposal.  He has everything you need to overcome every situation.
 
Galatians 5:16 — This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
 
Matthew 11:15 — He who has ears to hear, let him hear!

 
Romans 8:4 – That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Correct Your Focus

Nothing is ever as it first appears.  That is why it is important to lift up your eyes and look beyond your current misfortune.  As you peer into your future, you’ll see that something exciting is being produced both in you and around you.  Break-through always follows a season of oppression.  The resurrection followed the crucifixion.  Promotion is birthed out of hardship.  So correct your focus to see the full picture.
 
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 — For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding [and] eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen [are] temporal; but the things which are not seen [are] eternal.

Too Much!

The God of Too Much! 

Dear Friend,

Did you know that the Lord is mindful of you?  Every time He thinks of you, He’s thinking of ways to bless you, bring you increase and heap on too much blessing!
 
While it may not always look like you thought it should, if you look closely, you will see that God has done great things for you!  His loving kindness has sustained you through the trials of life.
 
Psalm 115:12-16 — The LORD hath been mindful of us: he will bless [us]; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless them that fear the LORD, [both] small and great. The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children. Ye [are] blessed of the LORD which made heaven and earth. The heaven, [even] the heavens, [are] the LORD’S: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.
 
Jer. 29:11 — For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
 
Our God is the God of “too much:”  Too much blessing, too much love, too much power, too much wisdom, too much mercy, too much grace.  He is more than enough for whatever you’re facing!
